At Crimson Lights, Ashland tells Victoria that he hoped she would come home last night so they could talk. She wonders what use it would be since he said he was done trying to save their marriage. Ashland regrets this and reminds him of the text messages he sent. Victoria counters that he offered no defence. Billy looks hopefully and thinks, “Give him the hell, Vick.”
Ashland tells Victoria he wasn’t scared, he just doesn’t know who framed him yet. Victoria can’t believe he still claims that. Without evidence, Ashland can’t stand up against his family and at the time he wanted to protect them. The desperation in his eyes was due to his fear of losing the woman he loves. Victoria guesses that he says she is the problem because of her lack of confidence in him. Ashland understands the evidence against him is too great to ignore – he swears to find out who framed him, but he loves her with all his heart and soul. Victoria tells him, “If you lied to me about being sick, you don’t love me.” Ashland jumps on her words, “You said ‘yes’.” Billy, who is listening, worries: “Victoria, don’t let him get away with this.

She told me everything.” He’s not surprised he fucked her and knows Nick probably wasn’t either. Billy thought she was going to hit him when he first walked in , but now he’s going after her, “You think she’d see through now.”

Nick and Billy come out of the patio and ask, “What was that?” Victoria won’t explain herself to either of them. She urges Nick to trust her for once. “I know what I’m doing.” She walks out and Nick grunts, “I don’t like it. Not at all.” Nick toasts Billy, who assures that Victoria was totally convinced he is guilty…although they also talked about him being dangerous. Victor enters and Nick tells him that Victoria is already gone. Billy lets Victor know everything – that’s why he should have teamed up with him from the start. “I could have stopped Ashland in his tracks.”

At the Chancellor Estate, Abby gave Dominic a nap, then asked Chance again what her therapist had suggested for her to resolve this issue. Chance replies that he literally wants him to work on it. “He thinks I should go back to the police.” Abby admits that’s the last thing she expected the doctor to say. She can’t imagine him wanting to go back under that kind of pressure when he’s not ready. Chance responds, “He thinks I’m ready.” He feels that getting back to a normal routine and building up his confidence is part of the healing process. Chance won’t do it if Abby has reservations.
Nikki arrives at Newman-Locke and is happy that Victoria called her. Victoria learns that Victor picked her up at Crimson Lights and is not surprised. Nikki explains that they didn’t want Ashland to harass her. Victoria reveals that Ashland still insists he’s framed.
