The Independence League extends to Laramie

The summer collegiate church Independence League extends to Laramie, with the new team playing Cowboy Field on the University of Wyoming campus from 2022.

Cowboy Field was home to the Wyoming Cowboys until the program closed in 1996.

“We are extremely happy to bring a family-first environment to the great town of Laramie. Our team believe Summer Collegiate Baseball is an amazing experience not just for the players, but for the community as a whole. It was a clear opportunity to bring a competitive summer team to one of the best communities in the United States, ”co-owner Austin Byler said in a press release.

“Austin Byler and I are very close friends who understand the true impact of Summer Collegiate Baseball on a community, players, host families, vendors and the country as a whole,” co-owner Aaron Nielsen said in a statement.
