The theme of the closing session, held under the theme India Rich in Solution-Focused Journalism at Shantivan by Brahma Kumaris, was Solution-Focused Media – the need of the hour. More than 1500 journalists from all over the country said that we will present positive and uplifting news of hope in society through the news media.
IIMC Chief Visiting Director General, Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi said that media is an important way to influence society, media can give sanity to society.
Air India Spokesperson Jitendra Bhargava explained how overseas based organizations can harm our country through the media. “You must have seen how Indian journalists were used. The participants of the farewell session were of the opinion that there was definitely a solution to every problem in the world. Public relations practitioners, print, broadcast and digital journalists play a key role in society. Journalists, as highly responsible citizens of society, must highlight violations of democratic rights and social problems. Media to take responsibility and explore tangible solutions to society’s problems, suggest and guide people to solve.
