Body positivity can also mean not fighting back against changes that can occur naturally due to aging, pregnancy, or lifestyle choices.
Body positivity is designed to promote acceptance and love for your body, but it can be a struggle that adds another element of pressure and impossible standards. The message of body positivity is that you should change how you feel about your body.
Body image refers to a person’s subjective view of their own body, which may be different from the actual appearance of their body.
Feelings, thoughts, and behaviors related to body image can have a major impact on your mental health and the way you treat yourself.
Having a healthy body image helps understand how people feel about their bodies and even how they rate their self-esteem. A negative body image can be associated with an increased risk of certain physical and mental problems, including depression, low self-esteem, and eating disorders.
Body Positivity works to solve a variety of issues by helping people recognize the things that contribute to negative body image.

- Get rid of social media accounts that make you feel less good about yourself and follow the accounts that spark your interests and leave you with positive feelings. On Instagram in particular, many accounts focus solely on portraying perfection or an idealized image of the body.
