Delhi registers 55 new cases of Covid-19; positivity rate 0.09%


Delhi on Thursday recorded 55 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the city to 14 41,569. The case positivity rate stood at 0.09%, according to data shared by the city’s health department.

Delhi on Thursday recorded zero deaths from Covid-19 and 55 new cases with a positivity rate of 0.09%, according to data shared by the city’s health service.

The cumulative number of cases stood at 14 41,569.

According to the health department, more than 14.16 lakh patients have recovered from the infection.

The death toll from coronavirus infection in Delhi stands at 25,100. So far, two deaths have been recorded in December due to coronavirus infection – on December 6 and 8.

Seven deaths from Covid-19 were reported here in November this year, the highest number of deaths from the infection in the past three months in the nation’s capital, according to official data.

Delhi had recorded four deaths from Covid in October and five in September.

The case positivity rate stood at 0.09% on Thursday, according to the health bulletin.

As of Wednesday, 65 cases were recorded with a positivity rate of 0.11%. As of Tuesday, 51 cases were recorded with a positivity rate of 0.10%.

A total of 59,890 tests – 51,411 RT-PCR tests and 8,479 rapid antigen tests – were performed a day ago, according to the bulletin.
