PATNA: Former Lok Janshakti party leader Chirag Paswan hit back on Sunday at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) who accused him for its own debacle in the 2020 Assembly polls.

Paswan came out with a flurry of tweets in response to JD(U) Chairman Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan’s ‘Chirag model at work’ allegation during a press conference here.

“I practice the politics of positivity and represent no role model. Those who had organized infighting are now facing internal strife themselves. They better not seek causes in the streets,” Paswan tweeted.

The allusion was to the rebellion of his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, which led to a split within the LJP founded by his late father Ram Vilas Paswan, and unrest within the JD(U) following the resignation of the former National President RCP Singh.

He also took a veiled dig at Kumar over speculation of another political volte-face, drawing an analogy from the Mahabharata.

“Like Kansa, he tries to kill all Devaki’s children. First it was my turn. Now it’s RCP. But he is unaware of the incarnation of Krishna, his political killer Even jumping ship won’t help this time,” Paswan added in a cryptic tweet.
