A review of The Young and the Restless: Shindig Surprises

When it comes to The Young and the Restless, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we’ve sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we’ve brought you a hands-on review and cheeky review of the Y&R week.

The Young and the Restless: A Reviewer’s Weekly Review

There was a lot to love about this week’s The Young and the Restless… or at least there was when it came to Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) welcome party.

From the obvious discomfort of the guest of honor to obscene exchanges between Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) ) and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) surprisingly cordial chat with Jill who spoke to Victor about their own lack of business school training, it was a gift that kept coming.

Was it perfect? Barely. While I disagree with Phyllis, it’s not true that “any party that doesn’t end in disaster is a big party.” This young and restless man could have used a bucket of ice tossed at someone, or a good old-fashioned punch.

And there were glaring omissions. Where the hell was Nina Webster (Tricia Cast)? If the actress could not be physically present on the set, Nina could still have been present via a video chat. There is no way a mother will miss her son’s big night. Speaking of…

Was it really wise for Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to have a family reunion in what would have been Chance’s second night at Chance’s? It sounds a bit rude in a way.

And say what you want about Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) views on Abby and Chance parenting, but they really had a lot to complain about when the couple gave up on going from the gym. time with their son to go away and party. .

I would be remiss if I did not include my absolute favorite moments from the Young and Restless special event. First, Chance’s heartfelt toast to his fallen comrades. The second, that of not-so-trendy Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow), which consisted of scanning the room, watching his father, Victoria, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Jack walk towards Phyllis, before turning back. and go out the door. This scene spoke volumes.

More thoughts on Y&R

* Can anyone remind me of the last time Sharon Rosales (Sharon Chase) wore work-friendly outfits at Crimson Lights? Plus, for someone who got her masters in psychology, she certainly has a hard time figuring out what to get her husband.

* Observation of Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) at 12 o’clock! Please, the young and the restless, I want more.

* Give them an Everything’s Ready scenario: Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

* Master manipulator: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) … at least until the actions of her and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) come back to bite them in so many forms – the least of which will be Johnny and Kate going to the boarding school.

* Masters in Reverse Psychology: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
